The Electro-Voice ND66 is a high-performance small-diaphragm condenser microphone designed for professional instrument recording. Its unique locking pivoting head provides unmatched flexibility for precise mic placement in high-density drum kits and acoustic setups. A self-biased condenser element delivers a rich and detailed sound profile with an exceptionally fast transient response. The cardioid polar pattern ensures excellent acoustic isolation by effectively rejecting off-axis noise from adjacent stage instruments. Integrated selectable -10dB and -20dB pads allow the capsule to handle sound pressure levels up to 146 decibels. Dual high-pass filter settings at 75Hz and 150Hz help eliminate low-frequency rumble and manage the proximity effect. Constructed with a rugged die-cast zinc body, this microphone is built to withstand the rigors of touring.
